Summary: SwordScript is an offline-first scripture memorization app. We do not collect, store, track, or share any personal user data on cloud servers. All your settings and verse progress stay strictly on your local device.

1. Overview & Data Ownership

At SwordScript, we respect your privacy and believe your personal Bible study history belongs solely to you. SwordScript does not require account creation, cloud sign-in, or remote server connections.

2. Local Data Storage

All profile information, memory progress, custom scripture quotes, and settings are saved directly on your device. None of your review progress or custom lists are ever uploaded to external web servers.

3. Speech & Voice Practice

SwordScript includes voice recognition for Spoken Review mode using your device's built-in speech recognition service. Spoken words are checked locally on your device to give instant visual feedback. Audio recordings are never saved, stored, or sent to external servers by SwordScript.

4. Bible Translation Downloads

When adding scripture translations through the app, SwordScript connects to public Bible services (such as the Bolls Life API) to download requested book, chapter, and verse text. These downloads contain no personal information or tracking data.

5. Device Permissions

SwordScript requests only essential permissions needed for core app features:

Microphone Permission: Used solely to check your voice recitation when you choose to use Spoken Review mode.
Device Storage: Used only when you choose to export or import a personal backup file.
Notifications: Used to display local daily study reminders on your phone at your selected time.

6. Managing & Deleting Your Data

Because SwordScript stores no user accounts or cloud data on external servers, you remain in complete control of your data:

Clearing Local Data: You can reset or clear app data anytime via your device settings.
Uninstalling the App: Uninstalling SwordScript permanently removes all local verse data and settings from your device.

7. Children's Privacy

SwordScript is suitable for users of all ages. Because the application operates offline without personal data collection or tracking, it complies with privacy standards including COPPA and GDPR.
